Honestly it's rather scary that you're attempting an RB26 swap yet know nothing about seafoam.
I am not that deep in the business yet and doing a swap is different from knowing tricks that may keep your good condition for example having a 3.0 in a 98 or 99 and getting a 3.0 from the 2000 for more power when all you have to do is change the heads on the 98 or 99 to get the power of the 2000, correct me if i am wrong the 2000 is 222 hp and the 1999 is 190

Good luck, keep updating! I'd like to see what you end up doing for wiring.
well for wireing I have to get the r33 manual for that which seems to be a pain in the butt but what we got in mind is to youse the maxima wires and match them with the wires of the motor but like i said have not found the manual for that but i am working on it

Err, what? You don't swap the heads from the DE-K to make more power...

You're correct about the power levels, but not how to achieve them.

The Maxima ECU plug is the same as an RB26 ECU plug...

I would suggest having the Maxima ECU plug repinned to suit the RB26 ECU so that it has the right power and earth signals etc, with the additional wires added to a seperate loom. You can re-use the cam position sensor wiring by fitting it to the RB26 cam sensor, along with MAF, coolant temp, O2 sensor etc Then you can run a GTR Power FC, etc

R33 manual gearbox has better ratios, although any RB RWD gearbox will work.

The power FC will plug into the Maxima ECU plug without issue. All that needs to be done to run a stock RB26 ECU OR a Power FC is to repin the factory maxima plug. Quite easy to do moving a few pins around

Holy sweet mother of Fuuck!!!???

How I missed this thread I have no idea but i started from page 1 and honnestly the whole time was thinking...aww boy not again...

after seeing the count down...I starting thinking...wait I'm on page 2, and the thread isnt locked...does that mean pics got posted!?

Then i saw it, and was shocked.

Props on it, Any suggestion advice I would have given had been given already...mainly bracing, and stiffening, etc Looking forward to vids/pics/final results and dyno numbers.

I guess the ability to say you did it will be worth it, but the cost factor alone you could have built a sickly 4th gen boosted on a built motor, and fullt built tranny for far less... but when you have a passion for something sometimes the money doesnt matter (sometimes).

I guess if for some reason anything happens to the max, its an rb. he can either do it again to another max, or sell it to someone to drop into their s13/s14/240z/260z/280z/ 510, etc...

Interesting to say the least.

This is really cool and it's taking a lot of skill and imagination to make it work. Good luck with the build.

Are you going to have to have a custom driveshaft built? Or is a j30 or 240 going to fit?

And with all due respect. You've said that you've dropped around 10k into the project and that was back on page one or two. How about your next purchase is a SLR camera for some high res photos?

The factory GTR computer and also the Apexi Power FC cannot control an auto gearbox. The one guy I know who has fitted an R33 GTS-T RB25 auto gearbox up managed to patch into the loom externally and hook up a local Ford transmission only computer to shift gears but the gearboxes would only last around 5000miles EACH. He only had 280rwHp and his third gearbox was a completely built unit worth over $3K just for the rebuild and it only lasted an extra 1000 miles.

Nissan RWD electronic autos + high torque turbo motors are just asking for trouble.

unless this guy has has access to the federal reserve, i think this project may be coming to a halt. will the manual gearbox even fit with the motor into the maxima with further degrading the structural integrity of the body? or is there a way around that?

I mean, he could probably just cut out the exhaust tunnel and weld in a big transmission doghouse. Seems like he's done enough structural modifications to do that. Hopefully, he's welding and reinforcing everything properly so the unibody is nice and stiff, and the suspension geometry is correct.

have you ever thought about using a th350 or 700r4 gm tranny.

the th350 is a 3speed auto that works off of vac and with a 100shift kit will handle about 400tq all day and can be handle for around 500bucks

or you can get a 700r4 4speed tranny and a gm tranny ecu with a shift or have it converted to vac for pretty cheap

for both you'll just need a bellhousing adapter plate
