I know some of you guys are curious for an update, or to even see if I've given up or not. Well, I'm here to say that life has been busy but the below is all you will get for now.

Hopefully, January will treat me better with giving me more time to finish tuning this thing up.

Please Enjoy (Iron Chef)......

Double wideband is a good choice considering the fact that you're using the FWD 3.5 IM.

Impressive man. Shouldn't be too hard to install, I believe they already have the VQ35 sensors in their software.

Can't wait to see the results after the Haltech is setup! Such a hectic time of the year already, never mind working on projects like this. Keep us posted.

It is the Platinum Pro for the 350z. I would have to wire it in manually just like the Emanage. However, I opted to get this without the 350z PnP harness so I wouldn't have to hack anything, and for the cost savings. IP (Injected Performance) offered me the option of getting this kit with just the plugs and pins, and I did just that. So, instead of going with the same route of the Utec and wiring it into factory harness, I had a patch harness made so that my ish could be PnP too. (Jefffaafaa)

The choice of the dual w/b came down to number 1 wanting that extra feature, and 2 the fact that all it cost me was just another w/b sensor. I still had to get the controller and 1 sensor already, and it was under $60 to just get the second sensor so why not. I could have gone with a number of other options here, but I like the fact that it was proprietary to Haltech, and if I'm already going this far, I might as well go all the way and get precise datalogging.

One of the main reasons I went with Haltech, not only for the fact that it's a robust system but the software interface alone was enough for me to say, yes. I'm the type that likes things to work flawlessly, and do exactly what I want it to if I'm going to expend any time and effort on it, so after viewing my options and putting it up against what I've created here, the Haltech was the best option for me. I've been researching the Haltech and other standalones for months and I spoke with Hal at Injected Performance for a very long time, about this and my other viable options, however nothing else seemed to be able to do everything I wanted it to compacted into 1 unit.

The only thing I wish that this unit had was multiple maps capability with a flip of a switch. If I want to change a map it has to be uploaded/reflashed every time. Not that I do a lot of map changing nitrous runs, but it would have been nice to have that option on the fly.

Being able to change maps on the fly if you do water/meth for the summer (to run good timing) would be pretty awesome. Just run a conservative map 95% of the time, then when you want to go fast swap to the water/meth map and hit the activation switch.

Otherwise, I completely agree with you. The haltech is 100% what I would do if I stepped up to something bigger than the UTEC. You should make some nice midrange gains being able to adjust intake cam timing!

Damn man, you have some crazy money into this build. Hopefully it pays off and you run some 11s with this thing.

That would be awesome!

The heads should be flowing at 50 to 70cfm more by the shop that ported them for me. Port work and valve job was done.

This project has come to an end guys, sorry to say. I've got a bug for a new much more powerful car. I'm ready to make that move now. As exhilarating as this build has been and as much as I've learned from it, I can't fight the urge anymore. The motor is for sale here.

Blah... that's too bad. What is the higher powered vehicle you are looking at? This maxima could have certainly attained bottom 11s maybe even high 10s if it went on a diet and had a nice healthy 200 shot.

It all depends on what the partout can bring in. Would love to be on the NAGTROC forum, but it's too soon to say. If not that then I'd like to try my hand at something German. This is the longest I've owned a car, and I've upped my game everytime (10+ past cars). I don't think I'll ever go this far again, but I would fully bolton mod and tune anything new that I get.

You should get this.

In that case, you should go for a CTS-V or vette... full bolton, cam, and tune on the vette could put you in the 10s with traction German... sounds very expensive to mod.

I would probably have considered it a few months from now, this time of year I'm recovering from holidays and tuition/books. I'm getting the nitrous bug again... lol

Well I hope your next car is worth it. This woulda been nice to read up on. Def a stout motor with some proven parts.

Do you still plan on getting it tuned and dyno'd? Its make a good selling point.

He probably wants to return the Haltech before its used, and those charlotte boys can't handle the UTEC.

We haven't really seen built engine results with FWD intake manifold and headers. Somewhere around low 300s is likely with good headers and a SSIM.

Hate to see it never reached its full potential. Would have been nice to see results.

I'm going to vote for an M3 or E55 AMG for the replacement
