I started giving out refunds a little over a month ago, not 3 months ago. In that time I have sent many times my monthly income out and that took demodding my car, asking family for loans, selling my furniture/computer, and not paying my rent. I literally have nothing left at this point.

You guys realize my car is demodded right? I sold/trade+cash everything but the headers between the forums and local people, and only b/c it's too much trouble to remove them and try to find replacements.

In regard to the threats of violence (both sent by text and here on the forums), I will defend myself with as much force as is needed to end the situation as quickly and safely to my person as possible. Just a fair warning to anybody wanting to do something dumb.

Just to repeat, NYCBLOOD will get the money as soon as I have it. Everyone else has gotten their refunds, so let's please try to keep in mind that I am doing my best to make good on all this.

 

You do realize that you owe someone from NYC money, right? He should have been the first person you paid back! My g/f and her family are from Staten Island, and are hard core New Yorkers. Her family would be the last people I'd want to owe money to.

Of course, i'm not saying that Mr. Blood is saying these things, but i'm just using my imagination.

 

I paid the debts back in the order I had them listed from largest to smallest. In retrospect I probably could have done partial payments to a couple of people instead of paying them 1 at a time in full.

In any case, I'm not worried about where someone is from or their disposition. There's just no point in anybody getting hurt and/or spending a few nights in jail when there are obviously better routes to fixing the issue. Especially considering the fact that I am keeping in contact and there is reasonable evidence in support of them getting their money.

 

Hey at least Sparks is paying people back when he can.

I've heard countless stories of car shops screwing people over in this business and very few times the owners man up and pay people back.

And yes I have gotten burned in the past as well but not by anyone on this forum at least.

 

 

Man hard times are here for everyone.....I was terminated on 11/11/11 from At&t (Southwestern Bell) where I was a CST for 14 yrs making $6k/mo and I was blessed that I was able to find a decent job making a little less but way less BS, on 11/3/11, b4 I was terminated ... Whoa guys....let me tell you the REAL story. Today is the first I've heard of this and I am p#ssed. I have a reputable business and this guy, John, is trying to throw me under the bus to save his own butt. John approached me 1 1/2 ago to build intake manifolds. I helped him build the first and ONLY prototype for his own car. He asked me if I would help him make several more if he could get orders and I verbally agreed. Never heard from him or got any money after building the first one. I started receiving texts a few days ago telling me he was evicted from his place in Greensboro,NC and moved to Florida. Today I got a text and he said if I got any harrassing messages to say I don't have any contact with him anymore. Of course I suspected something was up and I started digging around and found this forum of false information. I NEVER received money from this guy or bought any supplies for these manifolds. I don't know what is going on with this guy, but I am working hard to build up my business reputation and I don't appreciate John lying and dragging me into whatever mess he's created for himself. I hate that he has done this to people. I work hard for my money and it's frustrating when these dishonest jerks pull crap like this!! I have his phone # from the texts he's been sending me. 336-553-8023. I really want this straightened and my business and name cleared because I had NOTHING to do with his fraudulant activities!! I will be contacting the BBB tomorrow to see what I can do. I am willing to do what I can to help you track John down. NYC blood, please contact me.

Yes, This is Dominic, and I am shocked and p#ssed. I have been trying to put 2 and 2 together. He is ruining my reputation. It seems that many of you out there are filing complaints against me and I have nothing to do with this. I would love to find him as much as all of you. All I know is that he said he was moving to Florida and all I have is his phone number. But after seeing the lies he had posted months ago. I don't believe nothing anymore. This stuff about him helping me with the fountain project is a ly. He has not even shown his face for over a year. And this other thing he also posted about me rebuilding some lightning machine in Baltimore is a ly. I will be on here all night reading all the lies he has been telling people. What a scam artist.

Go back several posting of his. Where he put down all my contact info, but left out a few digits on his address and phone number. Interesting. I am on everyone side out there. He is slandering my business that I have always worked so hard to deliver, quality, speed and great communication. If any of you want to talk to me on the phone then let me know. I can explain my side so much easier on the phone than I can type.

Anyone know where in Florida he moved to? There's quite a large Maxima and Nissan scene down here, especially south and central Florida. And there's going to be a big Nissan mega meet in less than 2 weeks.

Apparently he paid everyone back with the exception of Nycblood.

 

I have no idea where in Florida, but with the stuff I have been reading tonight, do believe to much that he says. He always seemed to be a sneaky person, meaning that he never wanted you to know his mailing address, and it was hard to get his phone number. He always acted like he was hiding something and never wanted anyone to be able to track him down. I don't know John very well and only knew him through a freind of a friend.

 

Hopefully he will pay back Nycblood soon. If not, he won't be welcomed down here, at least not in my part of the state, and news of something like this happening spreads quickly.. He needs to do what's right before he loses all the respect and credibility he acquired in the Maxima and Nissan community.

Even if everyone is refunded, if he never even contacted Dominic to make the manifolds in the first place that would be flat out wrong.

 

 

That made the story even more sketchy. I know that the custom modded factory UIM he made himself he had removed from his car and sold it to a moderator, Nmexmax. He sold it to him several months ago.

 

Yeah, still want to see the shop owners response to that though.

 

Here goes from the beginning, a year and a half ago john had come up with some design and bought material and had me make the first prototype for his car. He told me what to cut drill and weld. This is not my kind of thing, I am not a big car person.

Anyway, he said he had his car dyno tested before and after the manifold and the results were great. He said that he might have some people on the forum wanting these and asked me about a year and half ago if I would be interested in helping him make several of them and I said yes. We had no contract, I never got any money nor did he even pay me for the first one I made up for him. Time pasted on with no word from John, I triied calling, emailing and texting him several times with no response. So I continued with my other projects. As more time passed he finally called or texted or whatever, don't remember because it has been so long. (About maybe November or so 2011) He asked if I was ready for making the manifolds, I told him yes and asked why he was delaying, lets get going. He told me he was having trouble getting the down payments ready.

Anyway, never heard from him again till last week or the week before (hard to keep up with since I work 10 - 16 hours/day 7 days/week) he actually called me in somewhat of a panic asking me if I would hire him so he could make some quick cash. I told him that I had all the help I needed at this time for the work load I had. I asked him about the manifold project and he said he was not going to do them anymore and that the police showed up at his apartment and evicted him. He seemed to be most concerned with where he would be staying that night.

John has had very little contact with me over the 2 years. So when he wants to do a project like these manifolds and then disappears for 8 months at a time, it is hard to take him serious. Meanwhile I can't be sitting around waiting on him, especially when he never calls or answers calls and emails.

Anyway, Iwas already for him at the drop of a dime to get going on these manifolds he spoke of.

I will say it again, I never recieved any money for my shop cost and labor on the first manifold prototype, let alone the down payments he seems to be ripping off of everybody.

This is the extreme opposite from the way I run my business. I believe in honesty, quality, and above all great communication with all involved in a project especially customers,

Anyone, please feel free to ask me whatever. I am shocked at this mess he has left. And what the h#ll John, you think just running away to Florida is the way to treat these people!! If you are reading this John, I am thoroghly floored at your lack of dishonesty to me and everyone else out here. Grow up. Don't ask for my help again.

Was this manifold a modified factory intake manifold that he had installed on his car and made 50 extra horsepower with @ 7,000 rpm that he made a You Tube video of?

 

Yes that first manifold you made. the one that was the stock manifold cut apart.

That was sold a good while back.

 

What I don't understand is why he has the money to move across 3 large states and isn't able to pay pack what he owes? And, if you're evicted from your place, why move that far? He must have family down here that's giving him a place to stay.

He must have been broke as hell if he was evicted from his apartment by police. I know down here you have to be so late, and an eviction notice is filed. It then has to go through a legal process before you're evicted, so he must not have paid rent for 2 or 3 months before that happened.

Is this guy married or have kids?

 

The first and only I helped out with was the bottom piece that goes on the engine was a stock manifold cut up, cast aluminum. I thing he was wanting to make the next ones with a laser cut flange plate and mandrel bent piping. He was going to keep that so we could make a jig and copies off of that.

I have been in the dark as well. But when I got some suspicious text's from john, made me do a little searching and I came across this forum, a felt the need to register so I could communicate with all of you people.

I became suspicious with these text's that I am going to copy right now that said word for word:
If get some peolpe bothering you about the intake manifold thing just tell them you have nothing to do with me anymore and nothing else if you could please.

This threw up a red flag to me. Keep in mind the last I heard from him was that he was being evicted and he did not want to tell me any details and avoided the subject. After thinking about that text he sent me, I sent him one back that said word for word:

Should I b expecting someone? U didn't take their money and tell them I had it, did u?

John replyed in text message word for word:
No. I just told them that you and i werent able to work out the job for the intake manifolds and i dont want them to harass you

These were my last communications with John

The weird thing is that no one has ever triied to contact me about this situation via phone email etc. I am just here to let people know what I know and I am also trying to figure what John has been doing. I want to get my name cleared and complaints removed from my business.

I sent John a txt message last night and actually got a reply he said that his intentions are to pay back NYCBlood when he gets a job. Dont know when that will be. I just cant understand how he let this get so out of hand. And the stuff he posted about getting material and some NASCAR shop to mandrel bend pipe, I dont think he ever did alll that. And he posted how he was helping me with a fountain project 6 days a week is a ly. And how he posted he was driving 2 hours to help me install this fountain project is a ly.

Have not physically seen him in over a year.

the same reason people dont calibrate widebands before they put them in your car, or do lazy tunes, or don't send you Haltechs that you paid for 4 months ago........GARBAGE!!! Just too many dishonest people out there. It's very hard finding honest businesses and that is really sad!!!

Darren - Maybe since you so close and HONEST you can work with Dom on getting some manifolds made for fellow Maxima owners!!! HINT HINT!!
