I definately would not recommend the Hi/Low adapter route. The output of the Bose amp is EQed for Bose speakers, besides I did the same in my car using PAC adapters I ordered from the local car stereo place which pulled out line level outputs from the head unit. The adapters will allow me to add/change amps and speakers while keeping the stock head unit. Look into it, it cost much more but it's the right way to do it.

Did you do this on a Bose system? How do you like it?

eh.....I've seen people use line level converters like that one, that they bought at Wal-Mart and it worked fine. I did not buy mine there, but it sounds good. I have it connected right off the rear speakers. I had to take the amp down off the speaker to get to the wires. Don't plan on winning sound quality comps with it, but it sound sound fine. For the $10 bucks for a hi/low adapter...it's worth a try. If you don't like it, then go PAC.
