i just hooked up an amp to some subs. i now notice that there is a high pitch buzz when i have the system turned on and driving. the buzz becomes more high pitch when i step on the gas. i bought the best cables that my stereo shop had, they are supposed to eliminate noise. what is causing the buzz?

Odds are its goin to be the ground in your car. Originally i had my ground in the spare tire well and that gave me all kinds of whinning. So, if you want a good spot in the car with no noise go to the trunk. Look behind the paneling in the trunk to the left. You will see a piece of metal that is welded to two other brackets. Drill a hole and sand off all of the paint and use a nut/bolt combo with lock washers to secure it tightly. This should eliminate all that noise you have. E-mail me if you have any other questions.

might try to add capacitors to the wires to absorb some radio noise caused by the current. dunno if it can be done with the amp but works for other electronics
