Bridging HU

Hello all,

I am trying to connect a mono subwoofer to a stereo RCA output of a head unit.
Can anybody tell me if I can bridge the RCA output from the head unit (take the plus wire of the right side with the negative wire of the left side)? If so, do I need an electronic device to do this or can I just do the wiring myself?

Your help is much apreciated,
Stephane

just buy an RCA Y.. "2 female, 1 male" if you want to put it at the amp end, "1 female, 2 male" if you want to combine @ the head & run a mono RCA back

So it is as simple as that? I just need a "Y" adapter from Stereo RCA to Mono RCA? No need to "bridge" the signal?
