Well i installed some components in the 00 gxe w/ the premium sound package. All the speakers work great, but when i put in a cd the stock player acts like it is playing but no sound is coming out. I used line out converters to send the signal to the amp, the radio works perfect but cd and tape dont work, have any ideas? Thanks

 

Did you hook up the rem turn on to possibly the power ant wire? Check that connection. If hooked up to the ant wire it will turn the amp on only when the radio sends signal thru the ant wire to power the ant. That's my guess.

 

cool ill check that out, because all the rem turn on is, is a voltage. Thanks ill check that out and return a post.

 

Normally the rem turn on is blue while the pwr ant is blue w/ a white stripe.

 

Thanks a lot guys, You were right i had the ant wire so the amp shut off when i turn on the cd player. I just hooked in to the power wire now it works, im so happy because my stereo has been messed up since december! Finally it all works and it sounds so good. Thanks for alll the help.
