Problem with alarm system

I just installed an alarm on my 96. Everything works fine but the lock and unlock. I tap into the unlock and lock wires using relays but it doesn't work. I don't know what the problem is. Does anyone know how to wire it up? Atleast i got my trunk to open with my new alarm. It's a pain with a maxiam, compared to other cars!!!

Where did you tap the lock and unlock wires? Why was a relay neccesary? They are both negative pulse, with unlock being douple negative pulse. Both found in the driver side door.

you dont need relays for the unlock and lock wires... the wires you want are at the drivers switch and are 20-22 gauge.

also keep inmind the unlock for 95-99 is a double pulse(-). Make sure you set that feature on the programming of your alarm.

what brand/model alarm do you have? and are you using any kind of tech-soft?? if not i can e-mail you the colors tomorrow

light green/red = power lock

green/yellow = power unlock

both at drivers switch panel.

goodluck!
