I have a Kenwood KDC-315S CD headunit and have a couple questions about it.

1) How do I disable the annoying beeping sound that I hear each time I push the source (SRC) button to switch from
OFF --> TUNER --> CD ??

2) Is there a way to make the power antenna come up only for the radio and not for CD play?? Mine stays up for both radio and CD.

I read the manual and found nothing on either of these topics. Thanks for the help. Mike-

I think that's how Kenwood hu are

I also have a Kenwood, but a different model than yours. I dont think there's a way to turn off that SRC beep. My antenna also stays up whenever I play the radio, cassette or cd changer. I remember the original bose system the antenna went down any time a cassette was played.

Hey dude. I used to manage a stereo shop and I have a Kenwood KDC-X915 Limited Edition CD Player. To diable the beep, hold in your AUD button. Scroll over with the track changing buttons until you see "Beep." Press the AM or FM buttons to change it between off and on.

As far as your antenna goes, take your dash apart and pull the radio out. Look at the harness. There will be two blue wires coming from the Kenwood radio. The solid blue wire should be an antenna wire and the blue wire with the white stripe should be the remote wire. Make sure that all amplifiers are connected ONLY to the remote wire and the factory wire for the antenna from the factory harness is connected to the antenna wire. When you eject a CD or tape, the tuner will turn on and the antenna will raise. When you change back to tape or CD (whichever you have), the antenna will lower. Problem solved.

Any questions, email me at cdcarmic@valdosta.edu
