Replacing BOSE 5th Gen. HU with Clarion

Hello all,

I just bought a Clarion HU off of a friend. It is 3 years old and cost him almost $600, it is a Pro-Audio model but I'm not sure what number. Anyhow, I want to replace my stock Bose HU with this one becaue I'm now experiencing problems with it. So far a local stereo guy (good friend, great prices) has ordered the Wiring harness, antenna adapter and also an adapter from Bose for the swap (that item alone cost $70) Anyhow, will this make my sub louder and my music more defined? Thanks for the help/opinions!

-Jon
