kx600.1's are super reliable- i know i owned one, sold it and its still running. Its possible to get a bad amp(any brand), but its also possible that the user has no f'n idea what he's doing, and there's the possibility that they didn't buy it from an authorized source. So making assumptions based on a few bad apples not knowing the facts and not knowing actual circumstance(you are reading it on a forum) its not the best way to go about it...

Wouldn't it be obvious if a person bought an amp from an authorized dealer and had an issue he/her would go back to the dealer before posting on a forum where no one can physically help the situation? But no....half the people are buying ebay and online refurbs...and stink it up in the forums..

I've given Kicker business for the last 10yrs, never been disappointed. Amps have always been underated.

And I'm only feeding it 300 watts. I'm about to get me a 700 watt bass amp soon.

300 watts rms or max if the amp is 300 watts max the sub only gets about 125 watts. depeanding on how many ohms the sub is.

The amp isn't the best, but I'm getting by with it. It still pounds in my opinion. I don't have the same listening habits as 10 years ago when I like it at ear-bleeding SPL's. Anyway it's a JBL BP300.1. Got it on sale last summer for 150 bucks. The specs has no RMS rating, you get what you pay for, I know. I have it wired for 2 ohms, the amp pushes 300w but not RMS. The HX2 is a dual 4 ohms.

I want to get a KAR 900.1D amp next.

That's amazing. I just bought a PG 8.0:1 and I love that amp. It f'ing pounds. It stays amazingly cool even after long use. Do you have any cooling issues with the mirrors and plexiglass?

Igor-looks good for a carpeted trunk, cathodes glow is insane- I'd take it back to the installer, since it was a payjob and get a few issues taken care of tho....

As sad as it is, I remember my big accomplishment of 2004 as being beating Contra w/o the 30-man code and only losing a single life in the Hangar stage...all while using the laser (the most UNDERRATED gun in the game)
