Not quite finished, but it's getting there. Not nearly as nice or involved or well executed as a lot of the installs on here, but it's the first major custom one I have done. I learned a lot ( mistakes and things I didn't count on until I started mounting things ) and have a few ideas on how to improve upon things.
Head unit - Alpine IVA-W200
iPod is in the glove box connected with the full speed or whatever it's called option.
Sirus tuner mounted in trunk under amp rack.
new spare tire cover, some of the trunk sound deadening on the floor ( 2nd layer, closed cell foam)

Bottom of amp rack with some of the wiring.

The fuse for the Sirius tuner is easily accesible by folding down the back seat.
Wiring is a mixture of Street Wires and Knu Koncepts. There's a fiber optic cable that runs from the headunit to the processor. Distribution and fusing mounted under amp rack easily accessable from the passenger compartment by folding down rear seat.
Sub amp - Alpine V12 MRV-T757
This amp is pushing a single 10" Boston Acoustic G5 sub with passive radiator in a custom built box
Test fitting and checking custom LED lighting on the 4 channel front stage amp and processor.

The amp is an Alpine V12 MRV-F400S. 2 channels are pushing the front Boston Acoustic 6.5 SL60 series mids and the other two channels are for the Boston Tweeters.
The processor is an Alpine PXA-701.
Not shown is the Alpine V12 MRV-F250 mounted under the rear seat, which drives the rear speakers Boston Acoustic 6.5 full range, and if I figure out how to mount it, the center channel.
Picture of the amp rack lit up at night.

I wanted a decent setup that didn't take up the entire trunk. I still have a rather large amount of usable space in the trunk so I am happy with that.
I still need to finish the trim panel that will go in front of everything so when it's attached the trunk looks empty, just a little less depth to it.

My only complaint(?) is that CDs sound noticably better than songs on my Ipod (and my Ipod songs are at 224 bit rate AAC), if you can call that a complaint. Toslink to the processor is sweet.

The processor does have the MX and it isn't all bad (to my ears at least). I tend to turn it off for Ipod songs, but on for XM. Definitely a matter of personal preference though. Don't get me wrong though, Ipod songs still sound good. It's just that when I put a CD in, it sounds louder and more clear/crisp.

Work in progress...
Well I just upgraded my 8 gauge power wire to 4 gauge and installed a 6 gauge ground wire. Decided to snap some pics while I was back there.
Sony XM-SD22X bridged @ 500 watts RMS (4ohm)

Kicker Comp C10 in a 1.25cf sealed box. Orignally had a 0.19cf vented port on the right side, but I decided to hack it off and make a sealed enclosure. Much happier with the results.

I made some custom L brackets out of aluminum stock and mounted the subwoofer using 3 existing frame/chassis bolt locations. This box is attached solid to the car.

That box "was" carpeted, but when I hacked off the port, I ripped off the carpet.

dont use the battery cable, not enough strand count, its not meant for audio stuffs. you can get wire much cheaper off ebay - its like 3 or 4 bucks a foot for some 1/0 awg, even less for 4 awg. search " knukoncepts" .. good stuff for cheaper than most brands like stinger, streetwires, etc

That would be because this thread is for trunks, not front stages.
With the Comp VRs, that's pretty normal. 3 cubes will get you some VERY low extension and smooth frequency response, but yes.. it will also suffer on ultimate power handling and pretty much anything above about 60 hz.
but isn't that what a SUBwoofer is for?
