for the sounddampening go to my sounddomain site. http://members.sounddomain.com/fubar73 i have 150 sq ft of second skin in the trunk/cabin of car. the box is 5.5 cu ft tuned to 33hz. and the reason why the astroturf is because it was different, and it was the least expensive. cost me $30 for 120 sq ft.

Still a very nice setup. Nice choice on the brand. How the hell did you fit that box into the trunk (built inside?) and im guessing thats 5.5ft^3 after sub & port displacment. How many cu.ft was it b4? As for the astrotuft, yeah it diff, somewhat strange but whatever.

While im at it, might as well post some of my trunk.

wow that brahma looks AMAZING . whats your enclosure tuned to? i bet that thing is sick loud. i built the box outside my car, the thing barely fits in the trunk. it is just tall enough to get it in. the thing is net 5.5 cu ft. im pretty sure its around 5 cu ft after displacement. it is built to the specs on REs website. i'll look it up i am too lazy right now though

edit: where in phoenix you located? im in phoenix too, chandler area. id love to hear your setup sometime.

Thanks, its tuned to 28hz. Its loud enough to the point were it feels like your brain is shaking As for the RE spec box, im shoked that fit w/o having to build it outside. Ive seen those specs, no need to look it up.

Where in Phx am I at?...check your PM's.

That is what 155db does, impressive. Stupidly excessive for a daily driver, but none the less very impressive.

Ok, I just came across this thread because I have not spent much time in this forum.

But here are my thoughts, and they are my personal thoughts, so please no flames:
-Damn ! You guys have some really nice set ups, real nice and nice craftmanship. Some real nice designing too.
-How much money do you put into your AV set ups, I can't imagine what some of these set ups cost.
-I use my trunk, it's filled with stuff, I assume most of the people here do not use their trunks, or can't?

Thanks for sharing your pics, they are grand !

Thanks man. I take pride in my system even though it isn't extremely loud but its very sleek. As for the trunk issue, thats why I built mine like that. I play hockey and I can still fit four sticks and two hockey bags in my trunk. The two+ inches I lost due to the raised floor isn't much and I gained some space back by removing the shrouds around the Bose Amps. I now have them mounted to the bottom of the back deck with double sided tape and metal strapping. Its also not very expensive if you do it yourself. If you wanna mess with fiberglass it only costs for materials and labor is usually equal the materials. I wasn't comfortable doing fiberglass myself in the whell well and they charged me 300 just for that. I know I got ripped off. But the rest I built up myself and saved a b!tch load. They quoted me 450 to do what took me a couple days.

So basically they charged me 300 for this, a little carpet, speaker wire and mounting the sub.

Wish I knew this too, but its too hard to get an actual measurment. Possibly down to .25' but thats about it.

Nah, it's actually bolted down. When I showed my friend the first thing he did was try to move it. It comes with two metal plates that attach to the bottom. I cut slits in the carpet and slid them through to make it look like it just sits there. And yes for one twelve this sucker does get the job done.

I go on a lot of road trips so it was'nt an option for me. I do take out the spare while I'm in town and carry some fix a flat. I guess if you don't go out of town it does'nt matter. I'd hate to be in the middle of nowhere without a spare.
