Speaker Replacement for 96 Maxima

I am trying to replace the speakers in my GXE.
I have tried to pry the grilles off, but that doesn’t
seem to work. What is the correct method to remove
them?
Many Thanks,
max

I hope you are not talking about the rears, I think that requires you removing your back seat for some reason.

My cousin owns a couple of stereo schools and they replaced my rear speakers, I came out and the back seat was out of the car (I had heard this from another member too) and they were complaining at what a b^itch the maxima is to work on from a stereo point of view (they did my head unit too, that did not look like fun)

Best of luck

Free Bump (you might put a thread in the audio and electronics forum, or ask a mod to move this one. Specify year and which speakers you are talking about.)

i just checked that out for myself on how to do that and i found this site and it shows you how to do it. And it does require you to take off the back seats.I hope this helps.

If it's the rear speakers the back seat, two plastic trim pieces on each side of rear window, and rear hat rack must be removed. Not that hard to do but it's a pain in the ***.
