I have the Beltronics 995 radar dectector....it's been working good for me for about a year and then all of a sudden yesterday when i started my car it started acting really wierd......it will be fine for about 30 seconds and then start flashing wierd messages and symbols like ?sweep/? and other wierd things and won't go back to working but just keep beeping and acting like that? What should i do is there a way to send it to them to have it fixed?

You might be able to have it fixed but you are probably better off buying a new detector. Valentine One/Passport 8500

 

call up Beltronics at 1-800-341-2288. They should be able to help you out. They did on my Bel 980.

 

I've been having a little problem when I start up mine. My 8500 detects X band at full intensity and then gets less and less until there is no detection. Anyone had this problem before?
