every time the ignigion goes to OFF or i try to start the car, the clock resets it's self. i just installed a new HU, and had to combine the wires in a wierd way to make it work. where does the illumination wire go, and what about the dimmer? right now i have illumination on the ground wire, and 12+Memory and ACC wires are together.

Your memory wire needs to be connected to a source that's always powered so you don't lose the clock and station memory every time. According to wiring diagram from the Haynes manual, that's the brown/white wire. The yellow/green one is only on when in ACC or running, and the red/yellow is "interior lights"- I'm guessing that's for the dimmer.

if you get a wiring harness for it...

It'll plug into the stock harness then tell you what each wire is. Then you just match it up to the wire chart from your new head unit. There is a 12v memory power cord. I didn't use dimmer on mine, I don't think our car has that...Only illumination. Just basically match up all the colors and it'll work.
