Which perfroms better a 10" MTX thunder 6000(sealed box) or a 12" audiobahn "performer" series in ported box?

 

i haven't heard much about either

 

depends on what kind of music but in general id say the audiobahn might be louder but not sound as good. but imo id look at other options. but between to 2.... mtx. also depends on your amp and box size.

 

i honestly wouldn't choose either of those subs. i have 2 mtx T61244A's in a sealed box and i wou;d never recommend them over the JL 12w0. the W0 gives the same spl almost and has much better SQ for 1/2 the power and a lower MSRP. if you have to choose between the two though, i would still choose the MTX.

 

everyone here is gona h8 on audiobahn, i dont know why everyone has such sour feelings towards them. i have 3 audiobahn alum12x in a sealed box. they sound excellent and have sounded excelent for damn near 3 years. im lokin for another set of subs (starting a new system from ground up) and my top choices are JL Audio or audiobahn since they sound great and have excellent quality. cant say much about MTX but i dont see alot of people praising MTX like others praise their other audio. you can see pics of my audiobahn system on my cardomain site.

 

the mtx 6000's would sound a whole lot better then audiobahn, over time they're subs have improved but i still would use them over mtx
