well, the viper 791xv is going to be your best bet, but if that's too expensive for you, you could step down to the 650xv

if you are going to buy it somewhere where they'll install it for you, i doubt you'll find any two way remote alarm for under $300. Now as far as suggestions, Clifford rs 2.5x two way remote but no remote start $399

Is Crimestopper any good? I never see anything about them. I was thinking about the 2 way key fob system they have. Can be had for about $145 shipped.

The Viper 791 XV is an awesome alarm. If you can find one $230-$250 range and find a competent installer that will install it for no more than $100-$150. You will be satisfied.

I have a 791XV, but with your budget, consider a Clifford alarm. Circuit City has models comparable to my Viper in your price range. CHeck it out.

Your best bet is probably with the Viper. I have the 650 and paid a little over $200 for mine plus install. I do know where you can get the 791XV for $299 but not for sure if the guy will part with one without install for that price. I can ask.
