Help with new HU ( engine noise)

I replace my HU with an aftermarket one i got the adaptor from crunchfield to go with the speaker. Installed the HU everything work fine until i decided to go back and turn up the gain on the adaptor. All of the sudden the HU turn off. I notice that the HU was still on but the light was dim. check the power wire it was getting 12V. So i took it to an Audio installer he wire the Power wire to the Power Antenna and my remote wire. Now i have bad engine noise. What to do? Dont know what is wrong with my setup? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mo

Sounds like now that the power wire is connected to the antenna wire, your getting noise from the antenna. You may want to install an antenna noise filter to see if it goes away, or try to rewire your setup to some alternate power source so that the feedback is away from the antenna.

the antenna turn on lead needs 12v to power the relay and make the antenna go up. when the 12v signal is taken away, the relay switches back over and the antenna comes down. there should only be 2 sources of power behind the headunit - constant, and accessory. you can't get 12 volts from an antenna wire, you can only supply power to it.
