The radio all the time only plays on one side of the car. It's never consitent. Sometimes it will only play on the left. Sometimes it will only play on the right. If I hit the unit it sometimes plays on both. If I hit a pothole the music goes to hell and it plays nothing until I hit the unit or I hit a big enough bump. Also when turning the car on in the mornings. The CD player will skip through songs for about 5 minutes before it starts reading smoothly. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Yeah, I've had similar problems, especially when it gets cold out, although they don't seem anywhere as bad as yours. I can safely say for a lot of us here, Bose problems are a common occurrence... just look through some of the older threads and you'll see what I mean. I've had the dealership replace the head unit under warranty once before and might have to do it again soon, although that doesn't always cure all the problems. Anyways, all the best resolving everything....

Kick that pos out and get the 2000-01 bose unit. You can keep replacing them, and they will still malfunction. It is broken from the factory.

Also, if you go aftermarket, your sound quality will improve dramatically.

welcome to the club of blowse radio..
this has been posted like 100 times.. LOL anyway. theres a TSB for it.
go to the dealer if u r under warranty and get yourself a replacement.. which will probably crap out and do the same thing in a month or so.. its just a defect in the radio .. alot of ppl have this problem

so save yourself some time and get an aftermarket one ...trust me you'll be much happier.
