yes it does have one I disconnected mine, and gonna take the sub out as well, to let the air to come inside the cabin from the aftermarket subs. Bose's sub sux... I don't personally like it, at least...

I recently did this myself. I replaced the Bose HU w/a Pioneer HU (used a wiring harness I bought from Circuit City), connected the wires speaker-for-speaker and ran a set of RCAs and a remote to the trunk, left my Bose amp hooked up, disconnected and removed the Bose sub and installed a Scosche amp and Pioneer 10"sub in a box. It sounds awesome and takes up very little real estate in the trunk. I mounted the Scosche amp to the underside of the rear deck opposite the Bose amp.

However, if you are interested in something a bit louder, in addition to the above you can:

1) Unplug your Bose amp and ID the wires going TO the speakers
2) Connect them to a second amp
3) Replace the front & rear speakers.

I hope this helps. Let us know how it comes out.

First off, I'll tell you this: If I don't think something is worth the money, I don't buy it. Furthermore, if I worry about the value of something, I make sure to buy it from a retailer I can return to. In this case, I bought this amp from Wal-Mart. It's a Scosche SA3002 and cost $100 (+/- $10). I also bought the Pioneer 10" sub ($50) and speaker box ($30) there too. That way, if I didn't like the way it sounded, I could return it all. But I DO like how it sounds...but then again I'm the guy who likes chrome rims on a Silver car ( )

Good luck.
