Most stable way for the amp...

Guys,

What's more stable way for the amp to work? Let's say, the amp can give out 500W x 1 (in bridged mode, 4 ohm load) or 250W x 2 (2 ohm).
Which way is better?

Thanks for all your input,
Ilya

I take it you are pushing a subwoofer, and is it a 4ohm woofer? I personally would just bridge it.

Sounds like it's time to get a 2ohm sub.

From what I understand is that if you run the amp bridged at 4 ohms it is the same as running it at 2 ohms in stereo. The load on the amp should be the same.
