sub install need help!

sub install need help!

just tried to install a sub & amp to my bose. power wire was no problem and i used a hi lo convertor. when i had everything done i turned on the car and the cd played for about 5 seconds then the "bose speaker fuse blew" what did i do wrong? i am not sure if i connected the hi lo adapter correctly, i am a noob when it comes to car audio . thanks in advance

yo probably got the neg and pos wires from the hi low on the bose hooked up wrong. check to see if the colors are right and make sure they belong to the left or right side speaker. make sure your amp is grounded good also

still having trouble. this time a fuse didnt blow but i get nothing from the sub. the amp has power and the remote wire turns it on. it is so windy here that my paper that had what the wires are on the adapter blew away. the adapter has a brown,silver , green , blue and a black wire (i remember the black is a ground)

hmm how exactly did you wire it? silver pos and neg on left and green.. hold on u got a different adapter. o sht thats the one i bought a couple months ago and returned. yo see if you could take that **** back its fawken retarded. the adapter you need has 4 wires. and 2 rcas. its soo much easier dude. and its like 10 bux

i got mine from my audio store. you could keep trying with that one if you want, but good luck. i mean atleast the amp turns, all you need is some sound. just look for HI-LOW ADAPTER
