Headunit shut off :(

Well I had my car on and I was listing to the radio I turned it up and it shut off. Along with it my clock went out. I found the fuse for the clock and that fixed that problem. But I didnt come across any fuses for my headunit. I even checked the fuse that is in my headunit and it was fine. Did i blow my headunit? It wont come back on. Im not liking the fact of no music or anything to listen to while i drive. Please help!

its just weird because the other daymy battery died then my passenger side fog and headlight went out, then my clock and my radio went out.. Fixed my fog and headlight and my clock. The clock was just a burnt fuse. Now i cant get the radio to work.

You better check the alternator output ASAP. It sounds like maybe the diode in the regulator is blown and now the alternator is overcharging the system, and that's why all the electrical parts are burning out. It'll take you 5 seconds to diagnose with a multimeter.

First, test the battery. With the engine off, set the multimeter to DC and touch the probes to the battery posts (red is positive; black is negative). You should get ~12.5 volts from a healthy battery (mine does 12.8). If it's less than 12 volts, then your battery is probably toast.

Second, test the alternator by running the engine while touching the probes to the battery terminals. You should get ~14 volts (I don't remember exactly what mine was when I checked it a couple weeks ago). If you get 15 or more at idle, then your alternator is probably not working correctly.
