The Only way to get Any warranty or theft replacement is from buying from a dealer. No online sales or Ebay.

Also keep in mind both units that your considering are discontinued. The 8443 is an '03 model and the 3434 is an '04 model. How far are you fron NJ? Maybe I can help you out.

i live in NY. right between syracuse and buffalo. i didn't know that they were older models either. but if there is a way you can help that would be greatly appreciated. i think it helps they are discontinued too that way i can get them a little cheaper maybe.

Not a problem to help you, but you are a bit far from me. Ill see what I can do.

The 8443 being so old has been out of stock for well over a year now. Some dealers may still have 3434s, but in comparison to a 5425 I would definately take the newer one. Especially being its a better product, with a close or cheaper price tag.

I'm actually considering selling mine(8443), considering a double din. This is amongst audiophile's favorite HU's- its just about a yr old, the face is mint- no blemishes and its the cleanest, best SQ deck I've owned- great dsp for when I do use it
It was bought/installed through authorized Eclipse dealer, every wire is intact- used w/ harnesses.
Shoot me a pm if interested

I would also be VERY interested in the cd5423.
i'm not looking to spend $300 because i dont have that money right now. and i've noticed that the 5423 has the same key features i'm looking for at a much more affordable price.

Actually even harder to find than the 8443 ..wasnt as popular Back then. Again another '03 model.

Look more into the 5425. Two things to keep in mind..first digit is the preout volatge. Last digit is the year of production. 8443= 8V series in '03, 8454= 8V in '04, 5425= 5V in '05,etc...

ok thats some quality information...the only reason i keep mentioning these older models i guess is that i like their style. the 5425 is nice but i really like the style of the models i have previously mentioned.

The difficult part is finding a dealer that would still have one. Otherwise your at a loss for theft coverage and warranty....

Ill check, but I think I might only have the 8454, and *possibly* the 3434

I have no doubt that it is. I really had no idea Eclipse made a unit like that until tonight, and then I see all kinds of references to it. I'm in love with the AVNs now, I'm going to have to see what I can put together. I like how they moved the volume controls back to the left side in the '05. The new units look AMAZING.
