How to run the power wire?

Do any of you guys have any tips on running the power wire from the battery back to the amp through the fire wall? or pictures showing how to do it?

I tried, but it looks like it is a real pain in the **** to do it.

Thanks!

It's not that difficult, keep the wire along the driver side of the car,but here is the location of the whole to fill...

if you have an automatic, use the spot where the clutch would go through, I think you have to peel off a piece of cardboard or something, but its ez to get to, all you need to do is drill through and your ready to go, just make sure you put a grommet on so the metal doesn't cut your wire. good luck.

I don't know which year car you have, but on my 2002, I was able to simply follow the hood-latch release cable. The wire goes from the engine compartment into the top of the wheel well and then into the cabin. I just had to modify the rubber grommets a bit to accept the 4 guage wire, and then I siliconed over the grommet in the wheel well.

In the wheel well:

In the cabin:

i have a 96 and just installed my power wire, if you look under the dash to the left of the brake pedal, or behind your clutch if its standard theres a diamond shaped piece attached to the insulation its about 4 inches ling and 2 across, you can simply pull or cut that out and drill through right there to run the wire, i would suggest starting with a center punch followed by a 1/4" bit then half inch. you have to drill on an angle so its a pain in the *** if you dont center punch.... i learned the hard way. im not sure about 1/0 gauge wire but i didnt have a problem running 4G through there.
