They are crap! Sorry to be so blunt. Make a trip to a few local shops to see what is offered and take a listen. Boss is only sold in pawn shops, flea markets, and the internet. As a rule of thumb, if they don't have a real installation bay (I.E. roof and bay door) run as fast as you can!

Boss amps r $hitty. That's why they're so cheap. 90% when dealing with car electronics u get what u pay for. Usually u end up paying b/t $1-$1.50 per watt. Let us know ur budget and what subs u r using and i'm sure we can give u some options.

I did a little looking around on eBay and found a couple of options for you. Only thing about buying off of eBay the stores r not authorized dealers, but most reputable stores offer a 90 day replacement policy. Just be sure to check out the feedback from their customers. If you're looking for a good amp for under $400 i think eBay is ur best bet. I'm figuring the Kappas r 4ohm subs, and since u have 2 u can wire them up n a 2ohm load. Here are a couple of amps i found...

Kicker KX600.1

Alpine MRD-M605 (V12 amp...digital controls)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...768482679&rd=1

Xtant 6.1

Thats a few i saw...thought that it may lead u n the right direction. Thry staying away from "budget" amps like Boss, Pyramid, Sony, etc....U may also want to look at brands like Memphis (great amps), Rockford Fosgate (power series). Indoaudio.com is a good place to buy from when shopping eBay. They offer high-end stuff, and i know they offer a 90 day warranty. I have purchased some things from there b4 and couldn't be happier with the quality of their products.

My legacy amp has lasted a long time under heavy abuse...but by the same token, I have one EXACTLY like mine sitting in my garage that ate itself after a month..cheap amps are generally hit or miss..you might get a good performer, but you may get a hunk of pot metal and aluminum thats not worth a shiny penny.
