2001 maxima GLE hole on firewall

Is there a hole in the firewall where I can feed the hot wire through or do I have to drill one. If I have to drill one whats the best location. Thanks

Depends on what size wire your using. 4ga, you can cut the stock gromet and jam it through. 0ga, drill a new hole.

I ended up drilling for my 4ga wire. There is a diamond shapped cover, which I had removed then drilled through.

i also drilled through the firewall under the diamond shaped cover, make sure you use a grommet so you don't chew up your wire on bare metal. That would cause a short and your fuse to blow. Or your car to catch on fire, (worst case scenario).
