you're still gonna need an amp, amp power kit, and a line out convertor to give your stock headunit rcas

You could look into something like the Infinity Basslink http://www.infinitysystems.com/carau...y.aspx?Ser=BSL if you really want to keep it simple. It has speaker level inputs so you can use the signal going to your Bose sub. You'll just need to run a power and ground wire.

If you want to go with a traditional amp and subs, you have two options. You can either get a line level converter to convert the speaker level signal going to your Bose sub to a low level you can send to an amp or you can go with an amp that has speaker level inputs.

This amp is on sale and has speaker level inputs as well. Should have enough power to give you a little bump.

Here are a few packages that they have, consists of an amp and a sub or two.

The good thing is that they are an authorized dealer.

Man... their packaged deals kind of suck (I'm not a big fan of MTX) But the prices aren't too bad.

Check out their open box area. http://www.sounddomain.com/shoptype/Open+Box
You can always find good deals there.

Why don't you like MTX?

I thought that the amps were a good deal.

I wired the sub right to my speakers in my old 1999 after my amp blew. It was a lot easier because the speakers were in the back. Now I have a 2003 and havent gotten around to poking around the speakers to install a sub. It seems like it would be a pain getting them out of the doors. I'm just entirely too lazy for that right now. I'd love to hear what you decide to do.

I think it mainly has to deal with the local dealer. They overprice everything they have, and everything they do.

I just prefer working through local shops than online. Easier when it comes to warranty (and getting good deals )

I know what you mean .

There is actually a guy here in town from who I bought my old Kicker ZX460 from, and he is also an authorized MTX dealer. He is very reasonable with his prices, specially with repeat customers like myself. I went to his store but he did not have anymore of the old MTX amps.

I went with the Thunder564 to replace my hurting old Kicker (purchased in 1997). I thought that for $179 dollars ($199 at Crutchfield minus my $20 dollar referral credit) to my door it was a good deal.
