Amping Highs, Best place for amp?

I'll be Amping my highs soon and was wondering for those of you who have done this, where did you find the easiest and best place to have the amp installed in the car? Under one of the seats or in the trunk closer to the subs amp? For wire running purposes which is more conveinent?

Do you have or will you be running a sub w/ amp for it or just a frontstage amp only and never anything else.

The former, I'd mount the amp in the trunk with the other amp to have a nice commong ground, but if you are only gonna stick to a frontstage (better that be your focus then just a sub setup ) amp, I think under the seat would be slick. Stealth is good.

As far as wiring, I guess with the amp mounted up front, theres less carpet to pull up, less pain in the butt getting wires to the back through different sides (one side of car power, other RCA) though it's not that big of a deal. Shorter RCA runs sound like a plus, shorter power wire runs sound good too.

Edit:
crap why can't i read. I'd put it back there with the sub amp. Especially if you already have one back there, you just need a fused dist block and a dist block for grounding assuming you're putting a normal little amp back there. and your power wire is large enough to handle the extra load. You already have your power, ground, remote back there....and of course a nice common grounding point.

Yeah I have a Kenwood Excelon Amp now on my subs, but I bought a matching kenwood amps (Mono and 4Ch). So I guess mounting them side by side in the trunk would be best since the wires are already ran there. Would I have to run seperate new audio wires?

New RCA's? Not necessarily but it now depends on your head unit and any processing. Most likely your head unit has more than one set of preouts (check that one). If so and if one is meant as a sub out, your HU might give you control of that sub? Or maybe your head unit has some processing (x/o, time alignment) where you'd want the signal cut from there......

However, if you'r using your amps crossovers and don't have/need any of this head unit control, you could simply use RCA splitters and not even have to run a second set All depends in your equiptment, goals, how **** you are etc........

PS..matching amps are sexy
