Go down to Sensuous Sounds ( http://www.sensuoussound.com/ ) They are at 4216 East Bush Blvd....

See Jason Grandmaison ...... Tell him Jason Blanchette sent you from New Hampshire...He's from here in New England and does some of the best work I have ever seen!!

+1 to Audionutz. Its WELL worth the drive to Ocala. Ill say it again. WELL WORTH IT.

But I deal with AVE when Im in the clearwater/tampa area, great guys and great prices. Why do you want a showroom? AVE is a tiny shop with 4 employees, one of which is the owner, and one bay. Those are the best kind of shops IMO.

I install for Circuit City in Gainesville, my parents live in Gainesville, and I do freelance installs on the side, so let me know what you need, I might be able to help you out.

kpr10is,

Thanks for the offer! I may take you up on it once I decide on all my components. I wanted to look at some showrooms so I could hear some of the components I'm deciding on.

Do you have stock Bose/a stock spot for the tweeter? Just curious.

Ah, gotcha. Just drive around to as many places as possible then. Audio Itch, Sensuous Sounds, Divine Sounds, Sound Advice, all those are in Tampa. In Pinellas theres Audio Empire(good fiberglass work but pricy), AVE Audio, Auto Audio, Stereorama (overpriced). And then theres all the ghetto shops which are a dime a dozen in Tampa.

Do you have a budget, and list as far as what you want? i.e. whether you want a sub or two, etc.

I do have the Bose setup right now. Have you heard anything about Buzz Off Stereos & Tint in Tampa? Right now I'm looking at the following:

Eclipse CD8445
MB Quart QSD 216
MB Quart Reference 5.25
Diamond D3400.4

Sub/Amp (still deciding). I want to keep the stock design of the Bose Sub and just replace the sub and the amp to power it. I didn't want a box or enclosure in the trunk.

CDT EF8
Image Dynamics ID8
Diamond D3600.1

I would like to stay under 5k.

Under 5K as in a $5,000 system? Ahh bless you you lucky SOB. I'm sorry cuase I'm now at the point of bugging you about it, but if you got 4-5g to spend on an install, TAKE IT TO AUDIONUTZ! OK, I'll stop bothering you now. Good luck w/ your system

BTW...good for you trying to listen to as many components before you buy!

I have to give a 2 thumbs down to stereorama. If it wasn't JL it was crap. The guy on the sales floor was less than inviting and honestly talked to me as if I had no clue what I was talking about. They tried to charge me $275+labor for a kick in each door. That didn't include labor or the drivers. $550+whatever JL components I could afford after the gouging and then add tax. They may be better now, but they will never see me set foot in there now. I would rather hand Don a fist full of 50's and see what he could do for me.
