What does everyone recommend?

I am going to buy an in dash tv/dvd and all that but I don't really wanna spend tons of money. I got quoted on $950 for an Eclipse AVX 2404 but am not really sure I want to spend all that. Double Din is a plus because I would rather have that, but I would consider a flip out. What does everyone else have? I don't wanna go over $950 so what do we have under that? Thanks.

Microvision Screen = $160
Headunit = $300
Dvd Player = $150
Misc. Wiring = $50
================================
~$700 total.

4th gens have 3 friggin din slots to play around with, so it's a peice of cake to put a monitor in there no problem. You can put the dvd player in the glove compartment...OR you can purchase the Alpine 9860 which is a dvd/mp3/cd HU. Either route will cost no more than $700.

I just gave in and bought the Eclipse AVX 2404. Nice unit, I installed it tonight and it looks really good other then the gap. But I am going to fix that later. Overall I'm happy with it. Thanks for the input I was going to go with that but decided for $150 more to get it all in one with touch screen and stuf.

Cool. I will never be a fan of the flip-out units, but suit yourself...

I thought about it. For the most part I know where I'm going and I know how to use a map. Plus the warranty comforts me with breakage or if it gets stolen. And I can hook up NAV so it helps.
