Buying on Ebay is NOT worth it. Get it from Don, Pearl96Max.

the 5495 was recalled. IMHO its not that much better compared to the 5435. The memory sticks it uses are made by sony which havent been used in about 2 years so its almost impossible to find them. build in harddrive only records songs off CD's in real time. thats a hardcore PITA if you ask me. for the extra cash i would save it and go 5435

They were recalled, then reissued. Been fine since.

Just weigh your options between the need of a HD or not.

The 5495 is a nice unit, like said previous you need to weigh the option if the HD is beneficial for you or not. The 5495 does come with a few extra's, as far as processing. I have it but have not really had a chance you use it yet.
