efficiency is your friend... 1 15+ 600 watts= around 140 db (in my car). that db meter is beyond pathetic. but at least this time on PMR they might actually have put "6000 watts in a car".

That's what I'm saying... even my 2 RF punch Zs on 500 watts hit 140. And talk about an alternator to keep those batteries and caps charged....

Could you imagine seeing that thing drive down the road at night. The windows flexing, trunk... no the WHOLE car rattling apart, and the lights would be non-existint.

I tell you what... I've never really liked any of the setups I've seen these guys do. This another to chock up on the list

lol! but not only will the alternator die because of the amps but the capacitors with surely kill it...because capacitors charge and discharge within seconds...so every time they discharge..there is only 1 source to charge hem (the alternator)...so hes looking at changing his alternator every two weeks...but damn dude...it may be 130 db but still at the end of the video xzibit couldnt even talk with a shaky voice..you still gotta give them props for somehow killint the HP on that car by adding a 350 pound sub. just my .02 cents

Well I got 4 12" Memphis M-Class in a 8 cu.ft. box. It took 3 layers of dynamat's thick mats just to keep my roof from flexing. The subs can push so hard right now I have to have my blower fan on 2 just to get any air out of the vents.

Lets get Don's thoughts on this since he's a dealer. He knows what subs I have, so lets talk about what amp I'm going to.

I'm getting the MCD1100, 1100watts @ 1ohm. The subs are currently wired to run @ 1 ohm. He knows the placement, and the box is tuned to 29hz.

Get a real fat girlfriend and ride around before you buy it, that way you will know how the car will handle with that type of weight. If you're lowered , you might want to put your oem rear springs back on

I love how they said it was the 1st one ever installed into a car... the guy has to be driving down the road going Not only would that thing get annoying, it's also a theft target now. Though I don't think anyone would get too far.

f*ck that man...i would take the sub..sell it...and put soem REAL subs into my car in the space that the one sub took up...i would also sell most fo the POS amps and get some real ones (DA or something) I would sell everything i dont need..get the stock seats back or somehow fabricate new seat with the money i got from selling all the stuff..i personally would not like to roll around in a car that only hold 1 person and this fa*ggot a$$ sub in the middle poking out from the back and blocking my view.

That is by far the silliest looking sub I have EVER seen. I would be ashamed to invert that and show off the piecework of a motor structure. (in reference to the Memphis monstrocity)

Oh and the PMR in question, was pretty inventive. I thought it was one of the better episodes as far as showing off what they can do. As far as the 130db it hit. I think the meter they were using only went that high. Most generic meters only go up to 125-130db and arent very acurate in that range to begin with. The meter was also located in the center console. This location would, in most cases, drastically reduce the registered spl. And as far as why, why not.

I agree, I wish they would have made the entire basket one whole piece instead of the levels. Kind of like they did for the LVS 15"
