Couple of questions
Couple of questions
Ok i have a 02 Max with the Bose Head Unit. So here are my questions.
1.Can i replace the tweeters even if i have the Bose HU
(if i could, has any1 changed just the tweeters, and does it make a big diff)
2.Can i change the stock subwoofer to get a better bass or will it sound the same since its coming from the same HU.
3.Ok lets say i want to change all my speaker but keep the same HU. Can i hook the new Speakers to an Amp by sending the HU signal to an aftermarket amp and then the new speakers.

1. Yes
2. Better off adding an amp to an aftermarket Sub, even if you decide to use the stock location.
3. The best of the 3 options, althought the most expensive. You will need a Hi-Lo/LineOut converter to convert the stock signal to an RCA.
I see you live in NJ. PM Don, and see what he can do for ya
AKA Pearl96Max.

Look for those pieces.
Pac brand:
ADD-NIS2
AMP-RCA
OEM-1
Once you have that, it'll connect directly to the back of the HU. From there, you'll just run new wires to an aftermarket amplifier. You'll bypass your factory amp completely.

And none of that is needed. Simply splicing RCA leads to the speaker wire behind the HU will do the same.
