New goodies installed

After a week of procrastination, kpr10is came out and installed the CD8455. I can not say enough about Eclipse. Everything is better. After around an hour or so tuning the reg mode 7 band EQ and setting the crossover, I am very impressed. I will let Kevin post the pics of his skillful install. Thanks Kevin, you are the man.

Also; last week I installed a 6.5" set of Rainbow Contours. The midbass is outstanding. I will never go back, ever. The combination is outstanding.

This HU install is using the Metra kit with the GXE dash kit.

That is before we re-installed the Yellow Top back into the trunk. It looks much more cluttered now. But, ehh it sheers sheetmatal whenever it wants, so I am happy.

Setup looks extremely nice. Are you going to dress it up a little bit?

yes, in time. I am on a very tight budget till I get finished with school.

I just noticed the Alpine is crooked. I need to re-do that, SOON.

I am working on converting the rear deck to 1/4"MDF to be able to bolt it down. I have managed to brake all of the stack retaining clips and split the rear deck. I have a lot to do.

Yeah, I just replaced the front stage with the Rainbows and need to address the type-r's in the rear when I sell the deck and front set(also type-r's).

I have to tell you guys, the HU made all the difference. I really was amazed. The setup was amazingly easy. Kevin and I are going to get together next week and throw a worklog on the deadener project. I can't wait.

My ears still hurt from the tuning session last night.

Thanks, I straightened the Alpine amp and added enough deadener to keep the driver side rear corner from sounding like it was coming off. I also had some time to re-tune, probably not the last time, and reset the gains on the amps.

Tomorrow before the meet I need to reinstall the back seats.

Good news, Sears gave me a new jigsaw to replace the broken one. Warranties kick as s. So I will be able to finish the new rear deck by next week(fingers crossed).

You mean to say CRAFTSMAN kicks ssa! I've taken all sorts of stuff back there and never had a problem. I recall seeing the Boyd Coddington show where they torched a wrench to bend it and use it kinda like a crowsfoot then took it to Sears and got a new one. Probably not strictly conforming to the warranty guidelines but an example that they'll replace nearly anything.

Yeah, I totally agree. Sears/Craftsman has earned my business 10 fold.

I agree, that driver is the heat/s3x0r. I have three ****-e ones that can't even come close. Try running down one of those trucks to see if the Possibly Might have one that is new, and then sell an organ to pay for it if he has it.
