5th gen amp wiring

I need to wire my amp to the battery. I cant seem to find an existing hole in the firewall to run the wire through. where can i find the hole or does any one know where a good hole is? I have a 5th gen.

i go thru the speedo cable hole if possible. just pull the rubber gromet out and slide the power wire thru.

Depends on the gauge. I'm sure you can squeeze a wire through the speedo grommet. I had no clearance issues running 1/0 underneath then up under the back seat. So far, so good.

- Remove driver side wheel.
- Remove wheel well
- Run wire through big-a'ss hole in wheel well from battery to amp.

Just to add a bit to Metal's suggestion, here are some pics I've had for a while.

This question gets asked a lot; maybe it's time for a sticky on where to run wires in various generations? Anyway, here it is for 5th gen:

1. Take out plastic wheel-well liner on driver's side. (This is a lot easier if you jack it up and remove the wheel.)

2. Find hole with hood-latch release cable.

3. Snake through hole into cabin, shouldn't be too difficult to do.

Pics:

Hope this helps!
