HU recommendation

Anyone have any experience on the sony cdx-800? Im looking into that one or something similar in terms of it having a plain lcd on the front (so it looks unobtrusive, stock and plain) and then it flips down to reveal the controls/screen/cd slot. Any ideas?

Any ideas? Yes, change your plans. Not only because its Sony, but the decks with that mechanism werent known to be the most reliable ones, as far as the longevity of the flipping face.

everyones going to suggest eclipse, its quality of sound (which is whats really important) will be plenty justification for buying.. they are more function than form, and the best sounding head units.

if you want bling and a good amount of quality tho, id say go for a nice pioneer with all the graphics and crap

uh just about any of them, how ever much you feel like spending. figure out what you want to spend on one and PM Don (Pearl96Max). He's a very reputable car audio dealer, he'll hook you up.

That's actually what I did. Yes all the way from FL. It was well worth the drive.

Find a local Eclipse dealer. They have excelent customer service and warranty when thier products are bought and installed by an authorized dealer.
