Installed my amp/sub today, have a problem though =(

I installed my hi/lo along with my amp/cap/and sub. The amp is on and cap is getting about 14 volts. Everything's working except my sub. I tapped the hi/lo into my rear speakers. My sub doesn't have the slightest bump. Could it be my hi/lo is wired incorrectly?

Does your high/low have a gain setting on that too? Did your car originally have a factory sub? If so, it may be sending the bass signal to the sub rather than the rears. This happened on my old ford taurus.

What do you mean by setting the gains? This is the hi/lo I bought: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Tsuna...oductDetail.do
I don't think it has a gain setting. It did not have a factory sub. Under specifications, it says: "Allows for the addition of 2 or 4 channel amplifiers to most factory systems including JBL/Premium or Bose audio systems." I have a mono-amp, is that a problem?

Looking at the top of that, I see two holes for some sort of adjustment.

Yeah you're right. I checked them out just now. And I think they cracked as I was turning them. Here are the pics...
The *****... (I think)
And this is where it was attached originally before it broke.

Lol also set the gains no the amp too that may be the problem. Make sure also that everything is making contact/hooked up properly as far as speaker wire, speaker wire in the box, all the terminals etc.
