Replacement HU for a RAV4

I know this isnt a Maxima related Q, but I hope its ok

My mom just picked up a '99 RAV4 w/ a standard din stereo. She wants a cdplayer. Doesn't need anything special, but a good quality stereo that will last her ~4 years.

Crutchfield has this:

Alpine CDA9856: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kcG9PDt...0CDA9856&g=300

for $179+10sh.

Any other recommendations? Cheaper is better for her, but under $200 is key. I dont care where it comes from as long as its legit and under waranty. She will only need the factory to stereo wiring harness adapter, no other mounting equipment should be needed.

Thanks!

That's not completely true.

The steering wheel controls plug and play, or something similar.

^Correct, steering wheel controls you can wire up without any adapters, but itll have a wiring harness like any other radio that youll have to wire up to the toyota plug.

I think either of those units would be nice. I want to get my Mom a stereo a little later. Might go with Alpine as it has the **** that is easier to turn (sticks out a good amount). I will actually take my Mom with me to see which one she likes.
