HU install problems

This is ridiculous. Been messing with it all day. It's really not complicated, I don't know why I am having problems

Replacing broken Bose with a Clarion HU. Have both a regular harness adapter and a Scosche adpater both from Crutchfield.

HU won't power on. All I should need connected to get it to power up should be the red (acc), yellow (12v), and ground.

There are two grounds comming from the car harness, one black and one black/white. And one ground comming from the HU. I am just connecting the black ground from the harness and the ground from the HU and leaving the black/white ground from the harness alone. I also tried grounding the the HU to the chassis and that didn't work.

I have an FSM and checked my pins to make sure they are correct. Checked the fuses in cabin and under the hood.

The antenna doesn't need to be connected for this to power up does it? Maybe there is a ground in the antenna harness that is causing a problem.

Gotta walk away from this for a while because it's really pissing me off. I am no audio professional, but I have installed a few HU in the past with no issues.

Any help appreciated.

nissan uses the chassis that the radio mount into as a ground i believe. But i always use my own ground with a ring terminal for the headunit.

Floating ground FTL.

Try grounding your HU on it's own also, to a bolt or something.
