I have a 2001 max and I can't find a place to run the power wire from the battery to the inside of the car for my amps. Do I need to drill a hole through the firewall? If so where?

thanks

I don't know how much they changed from 4th to 5th generation maximas, but in my '97, there is a hole in the middle of the fire wall near the top. There is a rubber stopper thing that covers a whole.I poked a hole through the stopper and put my wire through. Then I went through the firewall and then through the other wall of the cabin and pulled it down from there. If Nissan didn't change things too much, or they typically leave a hole in that spot, you might try it that way. If that hole is not there, try installdoctor.com. They might have something.

firewall spot

I have a 96 and put my wire in a stock grommet location. If you take off the front dirvers' side wheel and then the fender lining you will notice a big bunch of wires going into the car. on the inside it may take a little bit of fudging to find the wire after you put it through if it is a small wire, just be carefull and don't cut any of the small wires.
