Alright i have the viper 791 and when the car is armed and i use the remote to open the trunk then i close the trunk and the alarm goes off... How can i fix this..

Umm the alarm is doing its job correctly. Although it should go off when you open it if the alarm is armed. Sounds like the installer forgot to connect the trunk trigger.

try closing the door gently instead of slamming it down. If it doesnt go off when u close it gently then it is the shock sensor. That is catching the vibration causing the alarm to sound.

My trunk doesn't open unless I disarm the whole alarm.

Isn't there a diode for this? Like Don said, there is supposed to be a trunk trigger to alert the brain module to alarm the car when the trunk is opened, not closed (only triggers the alarm one way, not the other). When I had a Viper alarm, the installer tapped the trunk trigger wire to the trunk switch that turns on the lamp. Also, it's not a good idea to tap into the light bulb circuit when the bulb turns on, because you can get false alarms from the bulb being burned out. I would check to see how your trunk trigger is wired up and start from there.

if my alarm is armed, I am able to pop my trunk and close it without the alarm going off.
