Dan,
I am having the same issue with my YT. Mine keeps dying and needs a recharge if the car is left sitting for more than a few days without being cranked. I had the alty checked and they said that it was going and that was the likely culprit. The YT was checked by Interstate and it was putting out the correct voltage. I almost opted just to get another YT or possibly a BT (as suggested above) but did get the alty checked. Getting a new one installed this weekend and hopefully (fingers crossed) that will fix the issue.
I have had bad experiences with the YT in the past. My car has killed one and I don't play my system much with the car off because of that problem. It did better with the RT but it was a loaner. If you think your alty is good, I would suggest the 2 battery route using one as crank only (RT are good for that) and a YT for the system (since it can be drained and recharged several times) and running an isolater between them. I know some are against doing this but i have spoken to several local installers who have done this multiple times to cars who say it is a good thing. You may need to beef up the alty a little (another route I'm cosidering). I believe stock alty are 125. May get one custom done up to 200 and see how much better it is.
