Need help with Viper 791XV

Pardon me if this is the wrong section...

My '02 Maxima was at the dealer for two days for a MAF replacement and once I got it back I noticed that the Viper alarm isnt working... I think it doesnt recognize my remote at all...
The reason I said that is cuz when I turn the car off It automatically unlocks the door for me.. so I think its still sorta active...
How Can I check this out? Can I reprogram the remote?
I tried calling Directed Electronics and they said that they no longer will give out instructions to reprogram due to Insurance liability issues... I said I could sign a waiver of some sort, but they politely said nope!

My installer is on vacation for the next 2 weeks and I am bummed out!
Please help...
Thanks

from what i remember...you need to put the key the on position....press the valet button once...let go and press twice and hold....then presss the lock button on your remote a few times, it should reprogram itself...if not and nobody else helps, ill fish out my manual some place....
