even after rewire...alternator whine!...long
#1
in my 92...well...before i rewired, i had power wire on the driver side and RCAs and amped speaker wire on the passanger side. whenever i had my engine on, i'd hear a little whien in my speakers, when i revved the engine, the whine increased.
i figured it was an RCA problem so i ripped my car apart, now i have power on driver side, RCAs down the center, and amped speaker, remote turn on on the passanger side.
now, not only does it whine (though it doesnt whine as loud). i have three ideas why it may be whining:
1. the ampped wires and RCAs are too close toe each other when they plug into the amps, and in the area behind the deck.
2. the RCAs are too close to my ECU, since i ran the wires down the center and up by the ECU
3. my amp and cap are grounded on a bad grounding spot. i drilled up into the rear deck area where my speakers are mounted, it is a thin piece of metal that runs along the top.
any ideas?

i had the same problem when i put my cva-1005 in my car....i thought it was just a bad ground, that was my idea...but there really werent that many good places to ground it to...other than that the only other thing that i could think of would be that its the rca's.....did you use a cheap brand.....that could be it....i never did figure out how to fix it, i just took my tv out.....and im sellin it cuz i don't wanna f--- with it anymore..would rather just sell it, so if anyone's interested let me know...

egine noise and how to solve it
ok guys and gals a lil class on how to get rid of engine noise.. nthing sup dude.....
first things first i see that u have and eq with ur radio
u have to find out where the whine is comming from the radio or the eq....
i take it the radio u have separate rca outputs front and rear now disconnet ur rca's from the eq and run them straight off the radio if u dont have noise from the radio then its the eq......to know if its ur eq making the noise ur going to need a separate 12v power supply ..... supply the 12v to the eq and wire up ur rca to from the radio to the eq then the eq to ur amps check to see if u have noise
if no noise then wire ur eq back up to ur cars 12v system if u get noise back u could be getting noise though ur 12v lines and i would probably guess its the switched ignition wire ur can get a filter for that
