Farenheit LCD Monitor Install(pics)

I just got my Farenheit 7" LCD monitor. Actually the auction said Farenehit but it's power acoustik but they are exactly the same. I bought it under the assumption that it fits like the Microvision but I just found out it's a little wider. Before I go back there taking things apart has anyone witnessed this problem yet? Does it fit? Do I have to mod anything? Or will it just be a ***** to fit it? It seems to be a whole 1/2" too wide. Thanks in advance ppl.

Nevermind it was actually smaller than the microvision. It's installed....Problem self-resolved.

Here u go. I'm lovin it! It seems to be a little brighter and crisper than some of the Microvisions I've seen. Like I said before, I like the fact that the infrared is visible on the left and doesn't need to be relocated like the microvision.

Did you cut the trim piece?

Nope. I didn't cut anything. I pulled out the bose. Put this right in there and wedge two pieces of rubber hose on the sides of it to keep it still and that's it. Took like 30mins. It's all hooked up. I just spliced into the cigarette lighter wires and grounded it on a screw. Way easier than I thought it would be. I'm happy with it.

Question jitiola. I saw that you have a JVC head unit. When you are playing a cd/mp3 or whatever, does it show a screensaver or anything on the screen? Or is the screen just blank most of the time?

Ok cool. A friend of mine is thinking about getting that same setup you have and has been interested in that deck. Is it a good deck overall? Any problems?
