Burning Smell

Help,
Started smelling a wire, electronic burning smell when i remote start my 98 max.
It is a combo of a old viper 300 alarm and a dei rattler 369d remote starter. The remote starter was added on 2 years ago, has been working fine,. first time problem. Only smell it when i remote start the car. Do i check the rattler unit first or overheating wires ? Anyone experience this issue ?

THanks,

or take it to the installer, if it was done right and legit, the warranty is lifetime.

It was the fuse holder that started melting, i replaced it with a new one.
I also noticed that the 2 starter wires are jumped together. Should i put a relay
on the 2nd starter wire ?

I wouldn't start relaying things when you don't know what they are or how they're working together.
