Correction .... He has Blose - using the preouts is inevitable.

SO..get the bluetooth and sell it on the side ftw?
BTW....I think I need the BT-600 for the sequoia.... It doesn't daisy chain like the BT-600 did.

Cann't speak to the comparative shopping, but I recently bought a Max with an avn5100 preinstalled. Added the IPOD adapter for ~$140, and have been reasonably happy with it since.
Pro's:
1) Great sound quality
2) Plays mp3 CDs, and has a nice interface for surfing them
3) GPS navigation is relatively easy to use; my only complaint is that POI search results are not ranked by closest to you (I think just about every other GPS ever made is smart enough to do that)
Cons:
1) No audio cable input; so if you want to use a player other than Ipod you're out of luck
2) No scan button on radio, so you need to manually surf through the unused bands
3) Ipod interface does not allow for shuffle and does not have an option to browse podcasts (every time I want to play or change a podcast I have to unplug the ipod, start the podcast, and plug the ipod back in.
