avd5500 in a 03 max install Qs.

about to install it tomorrow.

i guess the reverse wire i need to tap is green & white and behind the driver's kick panel right? cuz i have a camera and would like it to turn on at the right times.

also i don't have the camera with me so i have a Q. do i have to run it from where i'm going to install it back to th HU or can i just hook it into the hu and run it later? what kind of line is it? rca and a power wire?

the speed sensor one i was told(pink & blue) is in the guage pod or on the ECU. what is easier to get access to?

where should i put the GPS antenna? rear deck?

any other tips or thoughts?

Reverse wire...yes it's in the kick panel. Def. hook that up and run it to the headunit.

VSS is probably easier behind the cluster..make sure you tape the correct harness because there are two pink& blue wires back there on two harnesses.

GPS antenna you can either just stick it on top of the headunit or do what I did..mount it on the dash board behind the clock closest to the windshield. These two options work because you will have the VSS wire hooked up and it won't need the GPS signal 100% of the time.

It's the one that's behind the speedometer.

how to take out the cluster:
http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/chrome_rings.html

Don whats the VSS wire for an 05 altima with bose? My assumption is that it IS the pink wire in the 3 wire harness, the only issue is that we're not getting any signal from that wire into the HU... any suggestions? Tap behind the cluster?

Is this the same altima I saw?

I suspected earlier that it had no resistor or diode (lol i'm a nooob) like the eclipse's on the VSS wire on the Pioneer...but supposedly it wasn't there to begin with.

100% sure (I just checked). What wire is it on the 06's?

I wouldn't be surprised if somethings messed up in his car, there's wiring all over the place from the angel eyes, lol but who knows.
